IT Support Technician specializing in Office 365

Job description

This is a full-time remote role for an IT Support Technician specializing in Office 365. The IT Support Technician will be responsible for providing technical support to end-users, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to Office 365, and maintaining accurate records of all incidents and resolutions. The IT Support Technician will also work closely with cross-functional teams and external providers to ensure seamless service delivery.

Responsibilities

- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues - Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and software - Set up and manage user accounts and permissions - Monitor network performance and security - Collaborate with other IT team members to resolve complex issues - Conduct regular system audits to ensure data integrity and security - Assist with the implementation of new technology solutions - Document technical processes and procedures - Foster regular communication with clients to understand their technology needs and concerns. - Analyze information, identify problems, and propose effective solutions. - Monitor computer and network operations, ensuring scheduled backup/recovery functions and maintaining administration functions for hardware, operating, and application systems. - Actively support and maintain the integrity and security of technology and data, including PCI compliance. - Serve as a bridge between hotel customers and our internal teams. - Provide support for active directory, email systems (Office 365), virtualization, monitoring, and remote management software. - Identify and resolve LAN and WAN issues.

Qualifications

- Proven experience as an IT Support Technician, Technical Support Engineer, or similar role - Solid understanding and practical experience with Office 365 and other productivity tools - Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues - Good knowledge of Windows desktop operating systems and hardware configuration - Ability to execute technical tasks with high attention to detail - Strong experience developing and using PowerShell scripts for automation tasks - Experience in customer service and client-facing roles - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail and the ability to work under pressure - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Degree in Computer Science or related field is a plus
